The Lie of E-Government and Notary Public Approval

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND ACCREDITATION PROCESSES IN CLOSE PROTECTION TRAINING

The global pandemic has brought about a radical digital transformation in education models. With the disruption of traditional education during this period, online education models conducted through Distance Education Centers (UZEM) and Continuing Education Centers (SEM) within private universities have gained momentum. However, this digitalization process has unfortunately also paved the way for certain ventures that are far removed from professional competence and driven solely by commercial concerns.

Sectoral Disinformation and Certificate Trading

The marketing of thousands of course titles defined within Public Education Centers (HEM) by various "Online Education Academies" in collaboration with universities has led to significant information pollution in our sector. Initially seen as an innovative step towards the democratization and accessibility of information, this system has, over time, transformed into a commercial structure focused solely on "certificate sales," devoid of any curriculum, practical application, or field training.

Mr. Süleyman Kocabıyık, one of the leading figures of our federation, personally analyzed the workings of this uncontrolled process and the risks it could entail, and determined firsthand how vulnerable the system is to abuse.

Our Corporate Commitment and Ethical Stance

As an institution, we partnered with universities to increase the digital traceability of the documents we provide to our trainees and to offer easy access through e-Government integration. We were proud to be the first institution to make Close Protection training visible in the e-Government system. However, this visionary step was quickly imitated by unlicensed, "underground" organizations, turning it into a source of profit.

To protect the prestige of our profession and prevent the title of "Close Protection" from being devalued in unqualified hands, we have decided to withdraw from this system, even at the cost of financial losses. For us, what truly matters is not a piece of paper, but the competence of the professionals to whom lives are entrusted.

Our Endeavors and Legal Achievements Before Official Authorities

Throughout the process, by never giving up on defending professional discipline;

  • Official contacts have been made with the Ministry of Interior Commission, and the seriousness of the situation has been reported.
  • Taking into account the risks highlighted by our Federation, the General Directorate of Security (EGM) sent official letters to the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in 2023 and 2024 requesting intervention.

As a result of these initiatives, universities are prohibited from issuing certificates in fields directly related to public safety, such as Close Protection, Private Security, Weapons Training, and Municipal Police.

Outcome and Belonging Vision

Today, we continue our journey as the only educational institution in the civilian sector with the competence to provide these specialized trainings and to represent professional standards at an international level. With our unwavering commitment to sectoral discipline, we are determined to protect the honor of our profession and to train true professionals.

The professionals of the future can only be trained with the right education and an unwavering sense of ethics.

Best regards.
